Read all about normal/cross processing here forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=57" target="_blank">http://lomotion.20.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=57 Collaboration is when two (or more) people take photos on the same roll of film to achieve double/multi exposures. Polaroids are instant cameras that are cool but they are stopping production of the film. Google for more info. Diana+ uses 120 film. Accessories, you can check www.lomography.com and you'll find lots of info n sample photos. You can Google for much more info ;) Help us help u :P

From a noob's point of view, Negative films can only be normal processed whereas Slide films can be x-processed. The difference is the colour. If you like strong contrast/ crazy colour effects, use slide films and X-process them. Negative films tend to produce "normal" photos but I saw some photos by negative films which were also not bad, can be comparable to some slide films. Oh and, normal films and processing is also a few dollars cheaper. Summary: Different type of films, different brands give different colour enhancements. Which to get: Try all to see which one suits your taste! Accessories: Tend to be for picture distortions eg. Fisheye adapter, split image filters. Colour filters are commonly used for Black and White films to produce sharper images. You can also use it on colour films, to suit your mood. Colour flash also works that way. But people use colour flash 'coz more fun I guess - like splashing colour on certain objects instead of the whole frame. You kind of anticipate how the photos will turn out. (psst... actually most ppl just get every single thing!) If I'm wrong in my explanation, may the pros correct me anytime =)

search around and you'll slowly get the hang of it. read up on lomography's website, google, and you'll get lots of info. diana f+ is quite a good camera with lotsa accesories! the sexiest one is the 35mm back, which allows you to shoot photos with 35mm film instead of 120. also, there are different masks to choose from to make your pictures different. @spaceball: negatives CAN be cross-processed. cross processing is where you take a roll of film designed to be processed in a certain chemical, and you process it in ANOTHER chemical. for example. slide films develop in e6 chemical. to cross process them, your process them in c41 chemicals instead. (which is for negs) likewise, negatives (c41) can be processed in e6 chemicals. although no one in singapore does it i think.

Yup, smellyjelly is right. (thanks for the detailed and clearer explanation). Would like to add that if you don't X-process slide films, you will end up yielding "normal" photos too. But because the chemicals are toxic when X-processing negative films (that's why no one in sg does it; plus it doesn't have that "vibrant" look - http://www.flickr.com/photos/37863474@N00/380921088/), usually people will specially buy slide films to X-process.
