Blur background? Hello!!
Im using a Panasonic FZ28.. I wanna try to shoot pics that are focus in the foreground and blur at the background. Any one can help me with the settings? I've tried for the last 3hrs!!

i'm not a panasonic user, but the general thing to get bokehs, you first need to have a large aperture. :)

Yeah, use a large aperture. Also, you can try shooting from the tele end and make sure the distance between your subject and background is of a bigger distance.

No need to blur anything and focus anything ar?
ISO 400 for indoor shoot ok?
And the exposure time?

if your aperture is large, and u set a long exposure of perhaps 1 second... your picture will be over exposed definitely.
use the settings where u set the aperture size, and then let the camera calculate the shutter speed required.

quick trick:
switch to marco mode and focus on a nearby object (up to 50cm away), re-compose the shot.

ISO400 indoors ... also depend on lighting condition.
Yeah, go read up and play more with the cam to get to understand it better.

Try to use the longest zoom length possible and the largest aperture available, then go as near to the subject as possible.
alternatively, buy a leica cam and a leica 50mm f0.95 noctilux lens :lol:
