Canon 400D/A610 Hi all, boring day at work.
This was the first time I've worked with models (friends, in fact) for a photoshoot, which was about a year ago.
Cameras were the Canon 400D and CanonA610 (compact camera).
Post-processing done in Photoshop.
Locations are Temasek Polytechnic, Bedok Reservoir, underpass is Orchard.
Models are Reinald, Tara, Grace, Terrence.
Have fun viewing and a nice week ahead! :)

Wow. I absolutely love pictures #3 to #5. It has a very... film look to it, and it has this contemplative/lonely feel to it. Brilliant.

Thanks fuzk, scapetist and iamlukaz.
Not much tips for the editing of colors, maybe you can check out the 2046 booklet at Books Actually? It has a lot of wonderful stills from the movie and if I'm not wrong is done by the legendary Wing Shya.

I think you can refer to it as color grading in general and xpro effect as one of the desired outcomes. Since color correction mostly refers to altering the light sources to achieve a certain lighting. Or to avoid confusion, color editing is what I normally say. :)

ur pp is amazing. im impressed!

i love the colors in 3-5. But I find the composition could be better. No 3 for eg, if you place the subject towards the left, i think it'd be a pretty composition. Im a sucker for the rule of thirds. Haha!

i love no. 11 and 15!
echeleon- 08-18-2008
sumlom: Thanks :)
kieraroxanne: Actually I just figured something from what you said, I looked through all my photos and for some reason, I will frame the models with their backs nearer to the edge and never their face nearer to the edge (I'm really stumped at explaining this). So if I did shift no.3 to more left, it would make me pretty uncomfortable, hahaha. Though there were some exceptions to this habit but I guess it's because of framing.
machiavellian: Thanks, but there's no 15, haha.

I understand why you are doing this because it will feel like the photos doesnt have a certain story with it if you put the subject's perspective towards the edge. But the reason I suggest that for No 3 is because, that girl is holding on to a balloon. And by putting the girl nearer to the edge and maybe let the balloon fly further towards the right, the composition will give a very horizontal feel to it rather than now being having the feel of "straight-smacked-in-the-middle" feel. I feel by doing that way, the users' eyes will flow nicely through the photo. From left to right. Get what I mean? :D

Well done series with very interesting PP. Love the coffee cup shot lots.

Mmmm, I see, good point good point. I thought you meant to crop the photo tighter and having lesser room on the left, that's why I kind of disagreed. :P
