Why do the pictures on the website have the - - - - - at the top and bottom? Does it means when i develop the 35mm film, ill get that effect?

Why do the pictures on the website have the - - - - - at the top and bottom? Does it means when i develop the 35mm film, ill get that effect? Yes and no. Depends on the type of mask you employ.

What do you mean by Mask? If i were to buy a Diana tomorrow, and buy the 35mm backing, using a 35mm film, will i get that effect when i develop my film?

Maybe you'd like to read a bit more here. The Diana is a medium format camera and the area of exposure is bigger compared to a 35mm camera. And when you insert a 35mm film which is smaller(with the right mask), the sprocket holes will also be exposed.

so little cash indeed. now i just got word that diana has 2 new lenses! 55mm wide angle and close up lens and 38mm super wide angle. is that dope or what. It's not advisable to buy the Closeup lens. Your lens needs to be EXACTLY 15cm away from your subject. And they suggest bringing a 15cm string around to measure. *faint*

Can anyone enlighten me on the difference between a Holga and a Diana? Is the Glass lens or Plastic one more popular ?
