Elikon or Holga
Did some research on the net about these two cams but i'm not quite convinced by their -*test*-('")imonies about the two cams. Prefer to hear from the peeps from the forum. How you guys find the holga and the elikon? And which is easier to use?

both are 2 different types of cameras. and which models are you referring to anyway?

And which is easier to use? Don't think too much, just load and shoot. Not certain about the efficiency and effectiveness of this cam, go google on another one. The comparison to make between the Holga 120 and 135 in general against the specific Elikon 535 model is a bit too much. Unless if you want to compare the Holga 135 against the Elikon 535, that would narrow down everything. Cause Holga 120 is a camera that uses 120 film.

on overall, the elikon and holga 135 uses 35mm films. the holga 120 uses 120 film but u can load 35mm into it, just that u will encounter some problems for advancing the film. either u do rough estimations or purchase a superhead 35mm for holga adaptor. apart from that, the main difference from the elikon 535 and the holga 135 is that i believe that the 535 has a lightmeter since you can select aperture sizes and the camera will calculate the shutter speed. you can also select your ASA settings for your film speed. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

elikon 535 is like a chat chat lca. (without some of the cool stuff) elikon got russian lens minar 1 holga 135 is only plastic. holga 135 is very lame in a sense that it can only do a few things. for 135, elikon is better if you wana shoot wherever you go. but if i were you, i'd get the holga 120 AND the elikon 535. holga for all the fun, elikon for the size.

How you know if a camera has a lightmeter? google it bro. :D yup. i googled it so i can tell you. :) but normally cameras that has "brains" to calculate aperture size or shutter speed when you set the ISO/ASA/GOST settings in a given area, it has an in-built lightmeter for it to do it's self-metering. right?

it has a light sensor that will adjust your shutter speed to your set apeture, but its not like slrs where you can see and stuff.

Elikon has a fixed shutter speed. variable aperature..n the ASA setting..is only to help guide u in choosing the right aperature..
