Glass or not?
I've been thinking about this for a while now and I'm surely getting a holga (and if I find my return to film worthwhile, maybe a vivitar uw/s.. hehe). I just dont know yet whether to get a 120N or a 120GN. Is there any real difference between a glass lens and a plastic lens? What do you guys recommend?

sharper images.no biggie though since you can't really tell the difference.unless someone has one and can point my wrong.

I own both but I find the plastic one produces better (or should I say worse) results that I like. Glass ones are sometimes way too sharp for my liking.

plastic plastic!!!! cheaper better. its lomo after all. and soft images are characteristically unique to the holga. too sharp and its unholga-like.

yes yes holga is meant to be plastic anyway.

:D Thanks a million guys! Plastic it is! Now all I gotta do is wait a month for my birthday $$ to arrive. lol :|

but do remember that a holga uses 120 film which is more expensive to process as compared to a 35mm film.

I took out my 35mm roll under a blanket and jacket! Haha! Just because I had to use my holga the next day. But arianna08, if you're not in a hurry to use the holga just ask the lab to take the film out for you when you send for developing. Uncle Mike did it for me once. :D Oh and do note that if you use the 35mm adapter there won't be any of the delicious vignetting. I have one and on top of no vignetting, you have to remember that a portion of the top and bottom of the shot will be gone. But its nice if you just want to try out different films and just have the softness of the holga.

i took out my roll in my boxers when i am outdoors..

But in all seriousness, I really just miss film :( OOOOh! just a thought, but could you create a vignette mask so a 120N would be like a 135BC? hehe. and... i took out my roll in my boxers when i am outdoors.. XD
