In contrast, in #2 and #3, the center portion of the picture appeared slightly overexposed. (Solly this coming from a non-expert :mrgreen: but seen many of andy's work)

hmmm....i went to relook at these pics..i dont seem to see any hotspot issue (which is the centre portion which IR pics face at times)..though i know there's hotspot issues in my la-*test*-('") batch of photos (The Dover ones...but i have masked it as much as i can).
For digital IR....PS is part of the process...so yah definitely.
For the la-*test*-('") batch of pics..i'm going through a new workflow in fact.
As i'm currently shooting on RAW...i am doing my conversions via Nikon Capture NX. Still doing some -*test*-('")s to see which can give me better tones...and also fixing a hotspot issue which i'm starting to see as well.
