LC-A help
hey guys i read from lomography.com that when taking a pic on a lca, two clicks will be heard. juz got my lca today and in the afternoon, i happily bring it out for some -*test*-('") shoot. im not really sure did i hear or feel 2 clicks when i press the buttons. i tried again just now in low light condition, i press the button hold for a long time but all i heard was only one click. another problem is the lights in the viewfinder did not appear when i press the button. are these two problems linked? can anybody help?

it might or might not be linked. it can be that the lights are not be working anymore for your case. what i suggest you do, is that you replace with a frest set of battteries. hmmmm, actually you might not realise that there are 2 clicks, even though there were. i dont know what you mean by low light conditions. how low is low? you now have 2 options. 1) if you've already like shot half a roll and dont want to rewind, what you can do it to "waste" one frame by covering the lightmeter, then firing off. you should hear 2 clicks distinctively-with the first click being the shutter opening and the second one the shutter closing. 2) if you're only like 5 shots into the roll, i suggest you rewind it, but not all the way(since you'll have to bring it out to a lab to unpick the film lead). this however might be a bit hard for you to gauge, since its your first time using a LCA. take out the film, then with the back cover open, fire of the shutter while putting your LCA against the light. you should see a very quick(less than 1 second) opening and closing of the shutter. maybe you would like to try and get back to us.

you should go only after you realise something is wrong when you develop your first roll.
