ok joking. but if i were you, i would send it for repair too and pay for whatever fault that's wrong to prevent such things from happening again. but if youre neglecting it or mishandled ur camera, then only the owner can be blamed for. take care of that gem. it's a gost lc-a and it's very rare and hard to find and not in production anymore.

i went there because of a lca as well..lol..its the same version you have...changed the shutter and the entire area there and serviced, cost me S$200. But i say its good money spent if you intend to use it for a long time..
hes a nice fellow but i guess he charged a higher price...but hey, at the end of the day, all that matters is that you got back a sparkling as good as new camera yeah? :)

Hmmm ... does it matter? I've heard of 2nd hand ones that die in a month and I've had one new one that died in a week :lol:

break down and.. just refused to work and die? Creepy!
cos there is no new lca per se. just refurbished old ones. lol. so sometimes u might get one quite susceptible to shutter death :(
