LT of Apr 08 - The Rule of Thirds
LOMOTION's Theme of the Month, Apr 2008 - The Rule of Thirds The theme of Apr 2008 is "The Rule of Thirds". The Rule of Thirds is a composition guide in which an image is divided into nine equal parts by two vertical lines and two horizontal lines, creating four intersection points Think tic tac toe. The rule suggests that placing the main subject of the image at any of the intersection points makes for a better composed image. The rule is not limited to just the four intersection points. Placing the main subject along the lines also works. Here are some links on this rule: 1, 2, 3 Anyways, here are some of the usual crappy examples: Some guidelines for the theme: - Only TWO entries per person. If you have submitted and feel that you have a better photo later in the month, you can edit the original entry to replace it. - Film and digital photographs are welcomed but film entries will be favoured over digital ones - Please specify the camera and type of film used (if any). - No photoshop works please - Please title all entries - Last day for entries: 30 Apr 2008 Feel free to ask questions if there are uncertainties. *Do note that the rule is not cast in stone. It is possible to make good images without following the rule*

I think I dont understand the theme. Meaning the subject must be at any of the intersections but not in between issit?
