lubitel on hari raya eve.
this is one of the reasons why i will never sell the lubitel because the shots it gives. it's that radial-blur timelessness that gives it the charm to capture these shots. lubitel 166u fuji 160nps (expired) it's the last day of the fasting month and stall/shopowners usually show off their wares as early as 7 am in the morning to sell off whatever's left. usually at the end of the day if there's still a bit left they'll give it to the people who need it the most to spread the joy of hari raya. a familiar sight for those who own food stalls. it's the last day they cook for the fasting month and usually it's in these pots where they cook the hari raya dishes we all love. like lontong :) i couldn't help taking this picture because the particular man has been selling curry buns even before i was born. and that was two decades ago. tthat's what i call an amazing sense of dedication to carry on your traditions, where you can still see it in the crowds heading towards the market.

no. 1 doesnt work for me cause the subject in focus is too little...shoulda used a bigger f/stop there. other than that, the other shots are clean and neat. especially like the pots

Love the last shot, excellently put with the write up about the old man. very nostalgic the whole set. You should use higher ƒ stops as machiavellian said, it'll provide more variety over what you have now. IMO, don't be one dimensional when you shoot with something with so many controls and functions.

hahaha sorry about the first one. i had to run away real quick because some guy (who wasn't fasting on the last day) thought i was taking a picture of him so he said OI!. i think i was one stop short from the biggest one. thanks for the comments :)

i know! there used to be another uncle bai near joo chiat complex there who sold original kaya buns with butter and they spread the kaya and the butter on the spot for you in a cupboard like fixture behind his apek bicycle, where he keeps all his wares. walau, those were the days :(
