My 2nd Roll, still need help..

Any idea what I did wrong? 2nd roll and new sh!zt happens =( ========================================= Camera: Holga with Superheadz Adapter Film: 35mm Fuji Chrome Velvia 100F (not expired!) 1. 2. 3. Gee.. I'm so ashame to even show you guys more =(

I think shot 1 and 2 are quite nice what. Its just grainy lah, some films will give grainy shots.

spaceball- 10-04-2008

Tks ace for the quick reply =) So that's the word.. grainy. (will someone pls confirm that Fuji Chromo Velvia 100F does produce grainy pictures? Would like to be sure 'coz I thought there's something wrong with my aperture - and if that is the case, gee.. i guess my holga is as good as... gone?). If a film produces grainy pictures, is there any way to make it "smoother"? Does distance play a part? Also, it seems that there is a scar at the left side of every photo. Any idea if it's a scratch?

Strange, 100 should no be grainy right.. haha.. or is it introduced in the scanning process..

Strange, 100 should no be grainy right.. haha.. or is it introduced in the scanning process.. Yea, that's what I thought too. Grains introduced in the scanning process? Is it possible? My previous scanned ones, from the 120 film, wasn't grainy at all - which makes these seem even more strange :P

scapetist- 10-04-2008

i think cross processing certain films do play a part also.

missjolly- 10-04-2008

shot 1 & 2 is nice...don't be too hard on yourself! =)

jiatlormee- 10-04-2008

yup crossing might cause the film to be grainy- esp happens with me when i play with agfa precisa 100iso. keep shooting! don't give up

yanton9- 10-30-2008

yeahh, 1 and 2 are pretty good.. maybe show us the rest?

sumlom- 10-30-2008

grains are inherent when you play with x-pro. it worsens the grain effect. underexposure also causes grains. the scar thing is uncle mike's signature scanner hair. you are one of the lucky ones with that. lol. i think till now i only know 1 other person besides me to kena the hair in the scan thing.

kenshi85- 10-31-2008

@sumlom: i also kena b4..! I'm lucky too! @spaceball: Anyway.. #1 & 2 looks decent wad.. When u xpro.. it's inevitable that u get grains.. how much u ask? it depends on the photolab sometimes.. some labs give u more grains.. some less.. some labs give u crazy colors shift.. some give more subtle colors.. best is u go try ard until u find ur fav lab.. and lastly like wad sumlom said, underexposure also cause grains.. and #3 is a very good example.. that's why it's like that.. (:
