may i know which is the most suitable flash light for the holga135BC? I read that the mini flash might be obstructing the shutter.
please advise :)

i think the holga multicolor flash is built for the job hmmm and in any case with any flash i think it will STILL be possible, although inconvenient, to press the shutter. not too sure though but i think holga multicolor flash shld be ok :) the narrow colorsplash flash does obstruct it i think yup

if you use holga135bc do not get the lomography coloursplash because it doesnt fit. the mini flash is okay, although the connection on mine is abit loose.

hmm i dun quite understand, if i buying 120N or GN, do i need to buy multicolour flash or just the mini flash? cox i tot i saw the colour thing inside...

guys, need your advise. is a tripod an essential accesory for the tripod?I think you meant essential for the Holga  Well not a need unless you're using the bulb mode at low lightings or night time and light streaks.

haha yeah tts what i meant. im not a big fan of flash. even with a dslr. so can anyone guide me:
with the use of the bulb mode, generally how long would i need to keep the shutter open for respective ISOs?
eg. for a 100 ISO film press 3 seconds for there to be enough for exposure to make it still look nice at night with ambient light.
sumlom- 10-18-2008
sometimes exposures need up to 2 mins to 3 mins, at low light. can try using torchlight to do light painting if ur shooting static objects.
hes.a.lie- 10-21-2008
so im pretty much set on a plastic lens holga but i dunno whether to get one with the hotshoe or one with the built in flash.
Holga 120N: Bulb mode, tripod mount, hot shoe (uses 120 film)
Holga 120CFN: Bulb mode, tripod mount, built in colorflash (uses 120 film)
is the flash vital for the holga? i mean apart from the obvious reasons like need bright sunlight then no need flash and so on.
considering the film used is the same and the condition of the camera is exactly the same, is there any vital difference(s) with the pics produced by one with a flash and one without.
to sum it up is a flash important for the holga?
need advise please! thanks in advance!
