Re-printing x-processed photos. Hello, a potentially bimbo question  but well, here it goes:
I want to re-print (physical) copies of my x-processed pictures. Must I go to labs that do x-processing or can I go to any normal photo shops?
Thanks in advance! :D

Think about it~
The answer would be: No matter whether you're printing from the processed negatives or from the scanned CD, any photo shops can print it for you. :D

you definitely can print at any lab but i have a feeling that the reprints may look different from your originals if you're reprinting from negatives.
do try it out and let us know.

most (all?) of the minilabs here are digital. they scan your negatives, apply adjustments, then print it. the codes at the back of the print tells you the adjustments that were made.
do all labs make the same adjustments? let's take for example two fuji labs that use the same frontier machine, do they use the same factory default settings or do they make minor adjustments to their software? why do people think that certain labs produce better prints? different machine? different workflow? operator skills? or just an illusion?
throw kodak or konica labs into the mix and it gets alot more complicated. there's just way too many variables.
then there's the thing about scanning xpro negatives. if you have scanned it yourself, you'll know that it's not as straight forward as it appears. do you remember the surplus fuji astia that lurgee sold previously? xpro for him yelded green/yellow results while it wasn't so for the others that tried it. why is that the case?
perhaps someone who is very familiar with what goes on in a minilab can enlighten us.

O_O
I don't really print my photos on hard copy but I printed mine from the CD that Uncle Mike scanned the photos into. Mmmm, is there really a difference if we print straight from the negs?
