Scanning At Photo Labs
hi we probably don't have a thread on scanning. any labs does scanning for real cheap deal? like perhaps more rolls = cheaper? know any? i'm sick of being charged per roll. i'm sure someone here knows everything!

more rolls=cheaper, im not sure. but so far i noe cheapest is grace lab. bout 3 bucks per roll? but it all depends on where u stay. It's not worth it travelling a million mile just to say a few bucks bah. ah yes if we ignore time consumed and skills i think owning a scanner is the cheapest esp for long term use.

i have done two rolls of cross-processing + scanning at KT at 6. and just now i was asking my neighborhood shop for scanning they quoted me $5 for a roll and i asked for 2, they said $10 without blinking. (i might give in if it's 7 or 8) so they made me unsure of the usual charging on other places or at KT and Triple D. how much are multiple rolls at grace then? any idea?

and oh one more question, how long do they normally need to scan?

From what i know, the most the labs can do is give you a 10% off. KT + DDD has 10% off for lomotion members. Unless u require manual scanning, 1 roll usually take 1-2 hrs for developing + scanning. If they tell you to come collect it tml, most likely they are passing it on to another lab for processing instead.

i dont think so. if they say come back tmr. maybe bcos they have many rolls to process. the fas-*test*-('") my lab processed+scan was ard 4 hrs. usually if the lab sends rolls to office for processing like for bnw/slide it will take around 5 days..

me bad... i 4got abt the queue... but i've tried 1-2 hr service frm uncle mike b4. send it in, go sim lim walk a while n come collect it 1 hr later

hi just wanna check where do i get B&W film processed and scanned. also what's the price like to do both process and scan. Wanting to try B&W but not sure where to send and the price for it.

You can send your b/w to KT for processing and scanning. They'll send to Fee Fee for processing and then scan at their end. Maybe a little extra is charged but that saves you a trip and some time collecting from Fee Fee and dropping it at KT for scanning. Ruby does processing and scanning but they send it out so it's more costly and takes ages. You can go to fotohub that does it one-stop.
