Slide Films Going Through Normal Processing Has anyone tried sending your slide films through normal processing?
and does anyone know how to open up your film canister?

You mean process with E6? Yup, done that many times. In fact I think I posted some pics shot with slides and processed as slides. Slide processing is more costly as compared to negatives.
Not sure how to open up the cannister but there're reloadable plastic types around if you need? You can get them from Ruby at about a dollar each.

well i browsed through the pages and found your national stadium set. it was nice but not what I had expected.
The reason i want to try to know how to open up the canister is because so that i can transfer the slide films into a negative canister.
eg: Precisa 100 in a Kodak 200 Negative canister.
So the lab will process it as Kodak 200 Negative.
ok nvm. I just go try something else. Anybody has done x-pro without color corrections?

Slides are just positive film used by professionals. Colors will turn out more accurate and brilliant as compared to negatives. They should be normal looking unlike xpro.

Oh that! haha... we thought of that too. Someone suggested making mock labels and stick over the canister. :D

can do once la. :P they sure complain one.
or just ask them develop and dun scan.
coz the film will have a code that tells that it's negative or slide. :P i.e. RHP100 or things like that, def not negative one lor :P
and can see immediately~ that it's xpro. the film will change color and is totally diff from the orange negative film

but why would they complain???i mean we're asking them to do something we want, not something they'd want.....i don't get it,someone explain? :/

i'm going to try this once i figure out how to open and switch canisters. lol. and never go back to that store.

go to any photolab. ask them for the empty canisters which have been developed. they will be more than willing to give all of them to u.
in the empty canisters there will be alitte film left.
get the tip of ur desired roll of film and scotch tape it to the tip of the empty canister.
after that,
roll ur film into the empty canister in a dark place.
after ur have rolled the all of the film into the empty canister, cut the end of the film of the now empty roll..
hope this isnt too confusing for u ... haha

Use a bottle opener to pop open a film canister! :)
