Thanks a zillion, barracudas! it's very helpful :D
Actually I'm eyeing at a Holga, but I heard that's not suitable for first-timer,sigh...
It depends, I guess..
I know quite a few lomographers who started out with that trusty medium format cam. hehe

gedappletart, if you want a holga-type camera but is first-timer user friendly, I would recommend the 35mm Holga K200. Of course the Holga 135BC is a much better choice, but the price (almost $100++ for the 135BC compared to $35 for K200) make the latter the obvious camera for a first timer. :)

actually different people have different results for the holga. unfortunately for me i didnt do so good with a holga, i find it a bit hard to get the hang of it cos i dont really have any photography background. however i have seen similar people(with no photography background) do really well with the holga for a first timer! so maybe you can try borrowing one for a while to try out first? you'll be suprised!

Hello all! I'm a newbie to the realm of lomography. I am more of a photography buff actually and should I also say I accidentally got acquainted with lomo and am loving it as the day passes. Haha.
Will try out some lomo shots some day and get them posted here.
See ya. =)

I see,hehe...
Thanks for your advice, I've check some holga cam from Perly,
erm....what's the different between Holga120GCFN , Holga 135BC and also K200? the different between Holga 120GCFN and Holga120CFN, is just only the glass lens?
I'm still quite confusing about the model and the function.
Thanks again for answering my question, I deeply appreciate :)

Get the 120N (and get your own colorsplash flash) cause Holga with in-built flash spoil easily.
Holga 120N, FN (flash) & CFN (colorflash) uses medium format film.
125BC & K200 uses normal 35mm film.

Thanks thanks... got u!
So if I get HOlga 120N then i need to buy colorsplash flash and 35mm insert just incase i want to use 35mm film right?erm...if i get a set of color filters, means colorsplash flash is unnecessary lor?sorry sorry, too many question to ask,it is embarrassing

the holga 120N doesnt come with an inbuilt flash so unless you get the colorsplash flash(which comes together with colour filters), you wont have a flash unit. if you get the 120CFN, it comes with an inbuilt flash which also comes along with the colour filters but i believe that the flash on it is fairly weak and it doesnt have the hotshoe feature. so you cant add the external flash unit. i would highly recommend the colorsplash flash cos its really damn fun lah. HAHAH!

cheep meh... i went around singapore to find holga that's lesser than 100 but all i can get is the one higer than 100... hehehe....
lomo newbie here... sorry if my discover is trash...
please do help me find holga that's lesser or equal to 50 buck plus, minus $10 or $20... newbie in desperate need to try out lomo-ing... wanted to get the LCA but it's just too expensive... so decided to start off with action sampler.. hehehe...
U want a holga around 50 bucks huh? Sure why nt. I think perly inc still has the woca (the early version Holga 120GN with a glass lens for $50). Likewise, there is the plastic len Holga 120G for $60 and 120GN for $65.
As for the difference between the versions, I'm sure our dear old lomotioners have it covered in the earlier posts. :)
