'terms' we use ok.. as i browse thru the forum, i notice some confusion on certain terms that we use. even i am sometimes confused..
developing film - in general, running the film thru the chemicals.
scanning film - the process of translating the film (photos) into a digital form that can be recognized by a computer
printing - A photographic image transferred to paper or a similar surface.
processing film - it seems this term 'processing' means the process of developing. some websites include scanning and printing in the 'processing'. So i assume when people mention 'processing', it actually means the procedure of how things are done, and not limited to a certain thing.
these are wat i always understood each terms as, so correct me if i'm wrong.

i got one more to add:
ruining film - the act of opening your camera back when you havent rewind your films back into the spool.

You mean you buy a normal film, and when you develop them, you can tell them if you want it cross-processed/normal-processed/b&w, etc?

erm, sorry, may i know what is meant by slides (E-6 process) ?Processing your slides (positive film) the normal way. Cross processing means taking your slides and use C41 process (chemical used for negatives) for processing.
