Back to posting pics here. Test shots of new lens. Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8. Good cheap lens. :wink:

this is a lens worth way above it's price. Excellent bokeh shots and really fast lens.

Why do you refer to lens as fast? Is it because the lens is capable of a big aperture?

Because this lens can open till f/1.8. So if there is low light, your shutter speed can be faster, then lets say a basic kit lens with f/5.6 maximum or something. Not only fast, it is sharp. Because the wider the apperture, the more obvious the depth of field. So you can achieve "bokeh" very well. Subject very clear and sharp but rest of the background super blur.

ryansaw: i still feel that the lens kinda tight abit. haha. but it is a good lens too kiera: s'poreans very hostile and 'jual mahal'. :lol: needa shoot more portraits with this lens

i think 35mm would be more to your liking due to the 1.6 crop
