VIVITAR uw/s mx & 'b' mod.
i got it from here. Here's a mod that will turn your Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim into a multi-exposure, low-light shooting, blur soaked Lomo killer! The multi exposure mod lets you re-cock the shutter as many times as required without winding on, the "B" mod lets you leave the shutter open as long as you hold your finger on the "control" :D All you need is: - A Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim you don't mind hacking with a little - A match (you may have some spare after building the matchbox pinhole :) ) and/or a scrap of plastic, about 1mm x 2mm x 20mm - A small screwdriver, and some tools to cut a small slot in plastic... First you need to get your Viv naked. There are five screws which hold the front of the camera on, positions shown below. Make a note of which screw comes from which hole as the sizes are different. read on... 3mx in this // i'll probably try on my broken set for fun..

me! my vivitar is broken already anyway. trying to think what's the point in doing it also since its broken...

I don't think i wanna dig a hole on the exterior of the camera. I dun really understand the vivitar mechanism that well so wanna ask the experts if this would be possible ? Press the Film Release Catch at the btm of the camera and forward the Mechanism without having to advance the film. Would this trick it into thinking i've already advanced my film?

i also saw that website.. was thinking of trying, but i dunno how to cut a hole.. whats the best and easiest way to do it? anyone?

hahahahahahaha... i just did it!!!! :twisted: i could only drill a smaller hole so gotta use a needle to feel around a bit, but so far i think it should work.. havent 'install' film to try yet. any advice for 1st time mx-experimenters??

I used penknife and slowly cut it off. I've done it! Will try it out and post up again soon :D

Yeah it took me quite some time and here is how it looks! It was quite ugly after I cut the piece out, so I pasted stickers to cover it up! fionalql did you manage to mx or do some 'B' mode?

l33_brandon: nice stickers!.. hmm you're asking about function or photos?? the hole will allow for both functions right?? my -*test*-('") roll of film is still inside. dun think i'll finish it anytime soon though :?
