Warning for Beginners & Anyone Out There
DO NOT ever step into the WORLDWIDE CAMERA CENTRE @ Peninsula Plaza, #01-38 (right across Ruby Photo Co. Pte. Ltd). I purchased 2 rolls of 120mm negative (not slide) for $15 each, so that makes $30 altogether. He claimed that 'it's a standard price everywhere' when I requested for a discount. It was on Sunday, so practically most of the shops are closed and thus unable me to make price comparison (could have checked with friends, but oh well). Right the next day, I went back for some confrontation after doing some price check ups (and Ruby has got it the best so far). I told him off that he's selling way much more expensive but he insisted that 'it's my shop standard price, i dont care about outside pricings'. But he clearly told me that it is standard pricing everywhere, that is why I purchased from him! What a nerve that old man is. I threatened him that Im gonna write a review about his shop and he's simply 'go ahead and write about it'. with some nervous look on his face and a lil trembles which he's trying hard to hide. how cheapskate can he be. what an unethical way of doing business. Im kind of a beginner, if some of you may be wondering why m I so dumb to purchase the rolls for $30. oh wells. I hope this help, and avoid any of the beginners like me to experience of the same thing. spread the word. ps: try googling 'worldwide camera centre' under Singapore context.

oh wells. who wouldnt. and the fact that there are so many that has been conned. jeez. try to google them and read the forums. some are since year 2002. and up to now, this unethical shop still around. tsk tsk. shame shame. :S

u went back just to confront? i respect you for that..consumer rights is important.. but then you should have checked the prices here before purchasing.. have fun lomo-ing!

HAHAHAH! yep, i nearly got scammed into buying polaroid 600 films from him when i just started out too he wanted to sell a pack of 10 to me for 40 bucks, a pack of 20 for 60 bucks when he quoted me the price i just stared speechless at him later i bought my polaroid films at cathay, and i went back and shot a pic of him with my polaroid when he was tending the outside area of the shot,

CASE, Closing Assed Shop Easily.

well... its too late to complain much.. but good for info for those who just started out in photography... anyway heard alot of complaints from ppl about this shop and they did reported the matter to CASE but as you can see nothing has been done about it.. just dun buy anything there also they have a sister shop somewhere in the same building be wary of that shop as well... trusted shops to go around that area would be Ruby, Cathay and Konota(the shop behind bata)

i believe that is the shop beside a mama shop and they display all their batteries as well as accessories out there... that is a shop which con the tourist one... unreasonable ppl with unreasonable pricing...

just relax. he's trying to make money, obviously and he could tell you were a beginner. i usually buy my stuff from fotohub in beach road. its next to objectifs, ish

it's really amazing how the shop think they can survive. thank goodness we have uncle mike and all. they understand the meaning of customer satisfaction~ and supporting communities.
