THE EXHIBITION
Lomotion Singapore is proud to present its second forthcoming lomography exhibition, Playground. According to the lomography bible, an ideal playground is where you can express yourselves freely and run wild with your imaginations. It can be anywhere under the sun. Playground is just about how lomography empowers you to escape from your daily routines, squeezes creativity out of your lacklustre everyday lives and turns your ordinary space into an extraordinary playground. It will be where you’re going to share your fun-filled insane life viewed through a lens. Swing by and have fun!
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We heartily invite you to join in the fun and manifest YOUR playground in four categories – My Playmates, My Playthings, My Playrooms, My Playtimes. So start digging your archive for the best shots that fit into the four categories. If you’re new to lomography or think your shots are not inspiring enough, load your cameras and start playing with films! Only selected images will be exhibited on the great wall of fun and fame. Please read submission method and requirements for details.
THE CATEGORIES
Submit your images that define your playground in the following four categories:
MY PLAYMATES
Who do you play with? Your best friend, your dutiful little sister, your mischievous schoolmate, the girl-next-door, your gossipy colleague, your childhood lover, your never-say-die campmate, your partner in crime or your loyal pet that never fail to greet you every morning. It can also be you, yourself and no one else.
MY PLAYTHINGS
What’s in your toy box? That trusty classic camera, your handy mobile phone, your timeless watch, your smelly sneakers, your designer tote bag or the beloved doll you hug to bed every night. It can also be something out of the box like your sexy bicycle that takes you home and away.
MY PLAYROOMS
Where do you have fun? Bring us to where you usually hang out or retreat! It can be the coolest underground nightclub, your favourite restaurant, the magnificent church you visit every Sunday, your bizarre office, your stinky neighbourhood coffee shop, that deserted hospital, your unforgettable trip to paradise or simply your messy but cosy bedroom.
MY PLAYTIMES
When is the best time to come out and play? Christmas Day, Halloween costume party, New Year Eve’s countdown, Birthdays, Mid-autumn Festival, Hungry Ghost Festival, Ladies’ Nights, farewell dinners, secret rendezvous, annual D&D, Scouts’ campfire or your up close and personal experience with your idol at the concert of a lifetime.

ELIGIBILITY
• Participation is only opened to all members of Lomotion Singapore. To register, log on to www.lomotionsg.com
• Submitted images can be shot with a Lomo camera or other film cameras.
• No digital enhancements and alterations are allowed.
• All landscape, portrait, square and panoramic formats are accepted.
• Both coloured and black & white images are welcome.
• You may submit as many shots as you like but make sure they conform to all four relevant categories.
HOW TO ENTER
• All entries are to be submitted online via www.lomotionsg.com/gallery to the appropriate categories.
• You are required to register with the same Lomotion username at www.lomotionsg.com/gallery
• In order to cover our exhibition expenses (printing cost, space rental, etc) and discourage frivolous entries, there is a required and non-refundable entry fee of $5 regardless of the number of entries.
• An email with payment instructions will be sent to you upon registration at www.lomotionsg.com/gallery
• Images must be saved in jpeg format and at least 600x400 pixels, 400x400 pixels or 1000x400 pixels in size.
• All images must be uploaded by 11 September 2008.
WORKS SELECTED FOR EXHIBITION
• Results of the selected images will be posted on www.lomotionsg.com on 24 September 2008. Only selected images will be exhibited.
• Thereby, you’re required to email a high resolution scan of the selected images at 1800x1200 pixels, 1200x1200 pixels or 3000x1200 pixels to submissions@lomotionsg.com Sizes have to be followed strictly.
REPRODUCTION & COPYRIGHTS
• All print submissions are non-returnable.
• Participants retain copyright to their photos, however, Lomotion SG has the right to display or reproduce all works for promotional purposes and/or for future use in exhibitions, flyers, catalogues, etc.
AWARDS
Best of show and runner-ups will be awarded with exciting prizes.

CALL FOR INDIVIDUAL SUBMISSIONS
We invite you to take up the challenge and join us for a heart-racing rollercoaster ride! Here, you’re given the opportunity to build your very own Playground. Not literally, of course! We want you to present your playground with stunning images. Your masterpiece can be flat, framed or even three-dimensional. We’re giving you the room for imagination! So, feel free to be creative, experimental and adventurous! Are you game?
Write us a proposal and complete it with sketches to illustrate how you perceive your playground. Only the crème de la crème will have the chance to get their hands dirty and showcase their work of art. Please read submission method and requirements for details.
ELIGIBILITY
• Participation is only opened to all members of Lomotion Singapore. To register, log on to www.lomotionsg.com
• Submitted images can be shot with a Lomo camera or other film cameras.
• No digital enhancements and alterations are allowed.
• You are entitled to a space of approximately 841mm x 1189mm (A0 size) to play with.
• Both coloured and black & white images are welcome.
• You may only submit one concept.
• You may take part in both the group and individual submissions.
HOW TO ENTER
• Email your written proposal with sketches to info@lomotionsg.com
• All concept proposals must be submitted by 8 September 2008.
WORKS SELECTED FOR EXHIBITION
• Short-listed participants will be notified via email on 19 September 2008.
• Thereafter, you’re required to start working on your design and we’ll be overseeing your progress.
• All printing and material costs shall be borne by you.
• In order to cover our exhibition expenses(space rental, etc) and discourage frivolous entries, there is a required and non-refundable entry fee of $25 only if your work is selected.
• Payment instruction will be advised via email.
REPRODUCTION & COPYRIGHTS
Participants retain copyright to their photos and artwork, however, Lomotion SG has the right to display or reproduce all works for promotional purposes and/or for future use in exhibitions, flyers, catalogues, etc.

also, if u're interested in the individual works, tomorrow would be a good time to discuss with fellow lomographers.

Because of the odd sizes, we do not accept instax and polaroid shots on the main wall. But if you've a great idea on using them for your individual project submission, we gladly welcome you to do so.
